You could get Ultimate Boot CD and try the countersign tools in that... I can't recall what it's called but I know it works for XP. I imagine there could be some issues with Server 2003 though non sure. Otherwise, yeah, fresh install?

Hiren boot cd has a windows password reset tool... along with an array of other super awesome utils.

That disk has saved my a$$ many many times, e'er expert to have effectually...

Finding a identify to download information technology is tricky, I got mine from thepiratebay.org they dont offer a download link from their site considering at that place is some copyright software on the deejay that could crusade a problem for them from what I empathize...

+1 for Hirens, great boot CD

I recommended that to someone a few days ago but in the end they did the "install CD" trick to reset the admin password.

Not sure if information technology works on a server equally have non tried but the steps are in this mail service:

DART- If you take a Volume License Agreement with MS. It's a corking tool with many features, including LockSmith to reset Windows password. However, like many of these tools, they are designed for local accounts not AD accounts.

Thats right I was thinking about that later... the offline pw reset tool is for local accounts, no Ad support

I employ the DaRT myself simply any bootable disc with the NT countersign reset tool should work with Windows Server 2003.
